1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HeoLab at https://heolab.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, whether or not registered.

2. Description of Service

HeoLab provides free online developer tools including, but not limited to: JSON formatter, JWT decoder, Base64 encoder/decoder, Unix timestamp converter, regex tester, and related utilities (“Tools”). Some tools offer optional AI-powered enhancement features.

The Service is provided “as is”. We may add, modify, or remove tools and features at any time without prior notice.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for lawful purposes including:

Personal development, learning, and experimentation
Professional software development tasks
Integration into development workflows via the API
Educational use in courses, tutorials, or workshops

4. Prohibited Use

You must not use the Service to:

Abuse infrastructure — automated scraping, DDoS attacks, or intentional overloading of our servers or API endpoints
Circumvent rate limits — using multiple accounts, proxies, or other methods to bypass API rate limits
Process illegal content — submitting input data that violates applicable laws, including stolen credentials, CSAM, or malware
Resell the Service — offering HeoLab as your own product or service without explicit written agreement
Reverse engineer — attempting to extract, decompile, or reverse-engineer proprietary components of the Service
Interfere with others' use — any action that degrades the Service for other users

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate suspension of access without notice.

5. Accounts and Registration

Core tools are available without registration. Optional account features (saved items, usage history, API keys) require creating an account.

When you create an account:

You must provide accurate information
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at trongngo08082002@gmail.com

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for more than 12 months.

6. API Access

HeoLab provides API endpoints at https://heolab.com/api/* for programmatic use.

Rate limits: The API is subject to rate limiting to ensure fair access. Current limits are applied per IP address. Exceeding limits results in 429 Too Many Requests responses.

No SLA: The free API tier comes with no uptime guarantee. For production-critical applications, contact us about dedicated arrangements.

Attribution: If you use HeoLab's API in a public-facing product, we appreciate (but do not require) crediting HeoLab.

7. AI Enhancement Features

Some tools offer optional AI-powered features (explanations, suggestions, analysis). By using these features:

Your submitted content is processed by our AI provider (currently OpenAI) under their usage policies
Do not submit confidential, proprietary, or personally identifiable information to AI features
AI outputs are provided for informational purposes only and may not be accurate; always verify AI suggestions before acting on them
We may impose usage limits on AI features to manage operational costs

8. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all rights to data you input into the tools. By submitting data to the Service, you grant us a limited, transient license solely to process that data to provide the requested tool output. We do not claim ownership of your data.

Feedback: If you submit feature suggestions or feedback, you grant us a royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the Service.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

No warranty. The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that tool outputs will be correct.

Use in production. HeoLab tools are provided as utilities to assist development. Always validate tool outputs before using them in production systems. We are not liable for errors in tool outputs used in production.

Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeoLab and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites. Links do not imply endorsement.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Upon termination, you may request deletion of your account data by emailing trongngo08082002@gmail.com.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made.

For material changes, we will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unsuccessful, through the appropriate courts of Vietnam.
